the Rams defeated the Bucs during the regular season... so they held the tiebreaker over TB

therefore... even though it would've been a 3-way tie between the Packers, Bucs, & Rams... it was already known the Packers was going to be the 1-seed

so with that win in hand... the Rams would've been the 2-seed had they beaten the 49ers today

yes... the 2-seed no longer has a 1st round bye anymore... but it still ensures a divisional round home game following a Wild Card Round win (fat lot of good that did for the Saints last year )

but since the Rams lost today... yes the Cardinals loss guaranteed the Rams the NFC West Championship... but the loss very well looks to have cost them a Divisional Round home game

so if chalk holds in the Wild Card Round... now that means the Rams have to fly cross country to SW Florida for the Divisional Round game instead of staying home and forcing Tom Brady and the Bucs to fly out to Hollyweird

Once the Rams knew they won their division, they bailed on the game.

I don't think the Rams wanted any part of the Saints. They won the division and suddenly didn't have to play the Saints. Why win, and then play the Saints.

The Rams won their division and the 49ers got in. It's what the script called for. It was a win win situation.

The Saints were boned when 23 players got caught up in an unfair random testing hit by the NFL against the Dolphins.

This is where Covid-19 contrived protocols cost the Saints a playoff birth.

The previous week's Covid-19 games were played on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Saints were totally fricked. No accommodation was made for the Saints.

It is what it is. The NFL is stated entertainment. After all, Saints fans may not have liked the outcome but we were nevertheless entertained.

The Saints don’t have a QB dude. Why wouldn’t they want to play us

Working hard to deflect any appearance of the script.

You think they chose the Cardinals over the Saints?

This is where rt3 set the board narrative that the Rams didn't tank the rest of the 49ers game even as they became division champions with the Cardinals loss.

You have deflected any motive of a late game tank by the Rams in multiple threads by crying but the two seed.

Anyone sharing this opinion or that the game was fixed gets your scripted response.

b/c thinking the Rams tanked that game is completely non-sensical

they risked injury to all their top players all the way through the end of the game right before the start of the playoffs... they wanted to win

they didn't bench anyone
