take this fwiw, sproles has 588 yds total receiving. 483 are yards AFTER catch. Leaving 105 yard i guess "before" catch. 67 receiptions, that averages out to like a 1.5 yard distance catch. Props to him for the yac but he's getting basically extended fricking handoffs in space.

Since when does it matter how you get the yards? I'll take Sproles 8.8 yards per "catch" 67 times a season over Morgans 41 yards per catch 9 times a season. Morgan is a one trick pony right now where Sproles is in his prime and just finished a record breaking season.
Sproles is still only 29 and hasn't had a huge workload like many of the running backs who only last till they are 30.

I'd definitely cut someone else...we would be foolish to cut either of these two.

I swear chad you will say some shite to keep an argument going.

Sproles is great but you see change of pace backs all over too especially out of the draft and all.
I disagree with this. I can't think of anyone in the league or in the draft that can perform Sproles' role in our offense close to DS.

Reggie Bush?
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
In all seriousness though, at Scatback I'd rather:
CJ spiller
Deangelo Williams (eh its close, I feel deangelo has more homerun potential but less consistancy)
Mcfadden
Doug Martin
But as far as salaries go, there really isn't a better option.

And yeah, I can't beleive this thread has gone this long. We have some that have legit topics and they go nowhere. Then someone like Chad asks if Brees should include swiss or american cheese on his jimmy john menu and it goes for 7 pages.

It's because he's the only person shameless enough to constantly bump and reply to every single post in his threads.

Every year there's a few small dipshits coming out of college that pitter patters all over the place.

Williams? Just GTFO
Mcfadden? A guy that is healthy for 5 games a year?

see, there's a plethora amount of guys out there with skills. What you got to do is envision them in an offense with Drew Brees and Sean Payton. It's easy to sit here and judge but you haven't seen many other players in this offense to compare to outside of Reggie bush and he was set back much with injuries his career here.
Posted on 12/26/12 at 1:29 pm to Chad504boy
I wasn't a bush hater, I actually enjoyed the guy when he was healthy, however taking any of the guys mentioned over sproles is just laughable, Sorry.

That's frickin retarded. The only reasonable player I've seen listed is Spiller.

This thread is fricking stupid.
How about cut mofos that don't deserve to be on the team right now? Like, I don't know, Sedrick Ellis?
