as Saints fans we've seen plenty of young RBs do well early on for us. not really that legit of an excuse. Ingram's average play and running style is not above criticism.

I think it's hard for a volume carry guy like Ingram who doesn't have elite speed to come in every few plays and make a splash. The fact that he has had a decent average the past few weeks is very encouraging. We were a poor running team last year have made some improvements. As he learns more pass protection and is more involved in pass plays defenses won't key on him as much when he comes in.

I'd much rather head to the late season with multiple healthy backs who aren't blowing you away on the stat sheet.
