I wanted to bump the original thread, but it's locked.

I was looking up the win percentage against the Redskins and remembered this thread. Just thought it was interesting to see that we are going in the right direction and talk about something else besides contracts and bounties.
AS OF TODAY:
Our record is 299-395-5 for a win percentage of 43%. Since the original post, we've gone 43-22
And now we have a winning record over the Houston Texans, the Jacksonville Jaguars the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Detroit Lions, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts, the New York Jets and the Seattle Seahawks.
That's nine teams. An 8 team swing in four years.
We also have split (.500) records with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Carolina Panthers.
I didn't realize we were 17-17 with the Panthers. Better than four years ago though. We've gone 5-3 with them since the original post.
Other Notes:
The highest winning percentage in the regular season is the Miami Dolphins at 57.6%.
The highest winning percentage in the post season is the Green Bay Packers with 64.4%.
The most total games won in a franchises history is the Chicago Bears with 712 regular season wins and 728 total games.
The most games won since the merger is Pittsburgh with 396 regular season games and 429 total games.

Great Post!!!
I figured our winning % over the Giants would be up there to since we own them now.

Blues usually lets us now who we have a chance of catching or getting closer to a .500 record against before the season starts.

Yeah, I think we all need something else to talk about.
New York Giants lead the series at 12-14 (.462) [2-1 since original post and 4-1 since 2003]
still need to fix these:
Atlanta Falcons 40-45 (.471) ...[6-2 since original post and 10-2 since 2006]
Dallas Cowboys 9-15 (.375) ...[1-1 since original post and 6-1 since 1998]
San Francisco 49ers 24-45-2 (.352) ...[2-1 since original post]
Minnesota Vikings 9-18 (.333) ...[3-1 since original post]
Some WTFs:
Cleveland Browns 4-12 (.250)
Denver Broncos 2-7 (.222)
Baltimore Ravens 1-4 (.200)

Minnesota has the highest winning % without a league championship. This explains the butthurt.

Awesome stuff. The progress and turnaround this team has had makes me very happy in my pants.

Another thing worth mentioning is that, in the first 20 years of the Saints existence, we of course had an overall under .500 record and no playoff appearances.
But in the next 25 years, we have had an """ABOVE""" .500 overall record, have gone to the playoffs 9 times, played in 2 NFC Title games, going 1-1, and and played in 14 playoff games (winning 6)!
The reason I bring this up is it seems that the media and fans league-wide still seem to think we have only been good since 2006!
What about 1987-2000 when we went to the playoffs 5 times, won our first playoff game, and had some of the league's best players?
Plus the afore-mentioned above .500 record since 1987 ????

The improvment over those two teams makes me smile.

good stuff, anything besides bounty & Brees contract is nice right now
Was thinking of proposing June to be ST Saints History Month. It's the low ebb of news before camp opens. Maybe cover old tales whether old to you is 1997 or 1967. Whatchyall think?

yeah man, when they first came into the league, we split the series with them a bunch, mainly in the Ditka era. I couldn't believe they made it to the NFC Championship game in just their second year (1996). Haslett went undefeated against them in his first few seasons I think. Then they got John Fox and we got swept a few times against them in that era. We've swept them the past two seasons and would have swept them in 2009 but that regular season finale didn't mean much. We rested most of our guys for the playoff run.
