If you were Tom Benson, would you fire Sean Payton?

First the vicodin situation and now you lied to the owner and directly disobeyed a league directive which is going to cost him $500,000 as well as damage my reputation and my football team.

I know he's the best coach in the history of the team, and because of that I would probably keep him, but I would at least think about it.

Absolutely not. Despite the off the field/locker room stuff he wins games. I'd rather have someone like him who wins than some squeaky clean guy who goes 5-11 every year

So is he totally infallable in your eyes? I mean damn would any boss put up with all of that in any other line of work? I know football is different but I don't think it's a ridiculous question.

considering how behind 95% of the Saints fanbase is for SP it would seem like a silly move to fire him IMO.

He's got one major get out of jail free card. He's used it up. I think if he fricks up again he's gone. But who do you get to coach in NOLA? I mean who in the frick wants to come coach/play in NOLA right now?

He's won more playoff games here than the Saints did the entire history before him and a Super Bowl. 500k is chump change to the amount of revenue he has returned to Benson. If the Saints fire him someone will be waiting to scoop him up. Starts with a D

What about someone like him who doesn't show up for work all year and goes winless? Because that's what we have now.

He isn't worth this. Saints should move on, brother.
