Does this mean Pierre gets his deal this year? Can't see us paying Reggie $12m next year and if Hamilton can't come back and we don't sign Pierre, we could be screwed.

undrafted Ivory or Hill may out PT PT and make letting him walk for big bucks not painful at all.
Instead of discussing all the potential replacements here could we start a thread about each one?
Might as well start with the old used up ones. Someone go Brian Westbrook or Jamal Lewis.
------------------
Not worried about '11 even if Reggie and PT were both gone. Big PT year and no contract he could be franchised (assuming that stays). RBs continue to be devalued and fall in the draft too. At #32 Ryan Williams VT, at #64 Royster Penn St or Murray OK

A guy I thought they were going to draft in '08 was Rashad Jennings. He's not vital in Jax & they have terrible WRs. One of the WRs we cut could prolly be a starter for them. I'd offer anyone after 12, 15, 16, 17, & 19 + PJ Hill.

I haven't heard much about Rashad Jennings. How has he done in camp so far?
Vic: He’s got the best hands of any running back on the team. Hey, he may have the best hands on the whole team, period. Because Jennings is such a big back, everybody cast him as a power runner, but what I’m seeing now is that his strong suit is catching passes out of the backfield. There’s a lot more Lenny Moore in Jennings than there is Jerome Bettis. Jennings naturally likes having the ball thrown to him in space. It works for me.

Crap I had high hopes for this guy and was looking forward to seeing him in the preseason games, I guess it could be worse but I think PJ Hill will be our third back unless we bring in Westbrook

talking about all the possible replacements in one thread gets old. how about a thread for each one?
No threads for Justin Vicent, Alley Broussard, Domanick Davis yet!

screw those three. Isn't LaBrandon Toefield available for cheap? (I think he is on Jax still)
