A year suspension for lying to the commish is excessive, even if it's Smitty.

He would've gotten less time if they had simply told the truth. Lying just added on to the suspension...

Rex Manning? How convenient for Niner fans to start picking their heads up now when that franchise has sucked since Debartolo had to sell after he got busted dicking around with ole Double-E.

How bout playing that trick in reverse now?

If this had come to light from teams like the Falcons, Panthers, or Bucs how would those fanbases take it?

And for once try to be honest and not a flaming troll

That you think this behavior Saints fans are displaying right now, which disgusts you, is somehow isolated to Louisiana is just stupid and shows a lack of awareness on your part

maybe Rex should worry about his own thug fanbase beating the shite out of people outside of Candlestick before he passes judgement on us.

I cant find the link. But it was in like the 50s or something when coaches were illegally betting on the outcomes of games.

ETA:
quote:

Payton is the first head coach suspended by the league for any reason

quote:

Mickey Loomis for the first eight regular-season games next season -- believed to be the first time a GM was suspended by the NFL

LINK

Yeah, these penalties fit the crime.

Yeah, those SF fans are great. They're just beating the shite out of other fans though, so that's ok.
