Hope this guy can play but I’d rather trade for defensive players

From Sean Payton rather than offensive players. He’s proven to give up or mismanage players on that side the ball numerous times.
Can’t recall him giving up on an offensive player that had a better career after.

Sproles had a pretty good career after we let him walk
In fact, all of his pro bowls and all pro season came after he left New Orleans.

Sproles had better seasons AFTER the Saints? Lord, that's hard to comprehend.
I see he had better Punt return yards with Philly and obviously a SB in 2017, but other than that, his #s with the Saints were better.

The Saints shouldn't be trading away draft picks, at all.
But if they are, it should be for young players with upside.

You're right. He just earned more accolades with Philly. But to the OP's point, that's more due to his special teams than his offense.
