Very agent like press release. He should listen to you and shut his mouth till he's drafted cause he ain't helping his bank.

His dad works for UPS and has for like 25 years. Don't think he is a smoker. They have pretty strict drug testing.

The Honey Badger was a terrible corner - he could not cover worth a shite. His strength was special teams. The Saints do not need that basket case in their locker room.

Maybe he is, maybe he's not. Personally, I admire the fact he's being open & honest in this interview. While it may cause him to lose interest from one organization, his honesty main garner interest from another.

Honestly, would you rather take a chance on a recovering addict who is just lying through his teeth, telling you what you want to hear or one who is being open with you about his/her troubles, fears & goals?

nothing is wrong with it. I just think it's stupid that he is letting it ruin his life by choosing it over football over and over again. And I'm not a conservative old white man like someone above stated

Well I generally don't not respond to posters who type like a 13 year old girl... but here goes. Yes I am in fact serious. No, I do not know him personally . I do know that the guy was given multiple opportunities to shape up while at LSU and he selfishly chose to continue smoking weed. Having intervened with my best friends alcohol addiction and getting him checked into the very bridge house facility often mentioned on the front page of this very website, I have witnessed horrific addiction firsthand. I've also witnessed personal accountability, determination, and rebirth come from that addiction.... With nowhere near a fraction of the potential rewards that Mathieu has staring him in the face. It was self motivated and there were no pre built in excuses for potential future frick ups. So I say again the guy should grow up, shut up, and seize control of his life... If he has a true addiction in the first place and isn't just being an immature kid.

Being honest and saying stupid sh!t are two different things just weeks before the draft. I'm sorry but you don't say 'we will need a plan to help me stay straight' to a prospective team. You say your working with good people, moving forward, working hard blah blah blah. What he said was stupid and a red flag.

And I really like TM.

That is basically what he did say, he just used the wrong choice of words so it came out not sounding as it should. I addressed that quote in my first post in this thread. As gifted as he is on the football field, he isn't as gifted as a speaker.

Whyce then says "So what if they did draft you, how would you like to play for the Saints and be back in Louisiana" .... Mathieu pauses and says with a big smile on his face "I dunno man, we'll have to come up with... definitely a good plan to keep me out of harms way!"

I feel like this quote means that he probably offended some of his old friends in New Orleans/BR and if he plays for the Saints and doesn't acknowledge the ones that took him down the wrong path then they'll try and stab him in his back.

Uh, if my career and future well being is on the line it is. The first time he got suspended should have scared him straight. If getting kicked off the team and getting arrested didn't do that, nothing will.
