His panicked reaction to pressure is his biggest red flag and one that might ultimately cap his ceiling. When pressured, he ranked 49th in EPA per dropback (-0.22). He threw four of his six interceptions when pressured. Perhaps he could be scarred from his multiple injuries, but he fades away from pressure too much, and he has to stop trying to get rid of the ball at all costs when he gets hit because it leads to completely avoidable interceptions or fumbles.

When he has a clean pocket, Shough ranked 12th in EPA per dropback when not pressured (0.48). Stats from a clean pocket are stable metrics that usually translate to the pros, but how they handle the smaller sample of plays when they have to deal with pressure decides their ceiling.
