Hopiong one of you could link a 2017(?) article where Ireland and/or Loomis lay out what they look for in a draft choice. Think it came out right after 2017 season when we had Offensive and Defensive ROTY.
Was a really insightful interview where they layout character, experience, upside, etc to help them set their board.
Ive searched a bunch but cannot seem to put my finger on it; even a summation would be appreciated at this point.
Proud of the Saints this week; all in for the last season of the greatest to ever wear the black and gold while still keeping an eye on the future.
edit: TIA, for your trouble

Just listen to Payton’s post draft interviews. He talks about what it means to be a Saints player in one of them

I remember reading an article like two years ago and maybe hearing it mentioned during a pre-draft show but after having to clean out the locker room of bad attitudes (Stills, Galette, etc.) Payton put a huge emphasis on attitude and mental approach to the game. It changed the way they approach players because they will essentially rank players by talent and then rerank by attitude and how they would fit in with the team.

They put much more emphasis on football iq, learning smarts, personality, and actual college production over what they use to look for in measurables and projections for what they could become.
