Hey Doyel your a jackass, its called sportsmanship and kharma. I pretty sure Brees woulda got the record in week 17 but he already had the game in hand and then throw 4 pass plays to get a td for the record. To me its classless on brees, peyton and the saints as a hole. I dont give a shite if it was monday night football, and as a dolphin fan this record should have an asterik next to it, the rules are different, u cant sneeze near a qb anymore, wrs are babied and pampered with this bullshite defenseless player rule and the 5 yard bump. In Marinos day it was a mans game now the NFL is a joke with horrible penatlies and a fricking dueche bag ruling the league. fricking Doyles a cocksuker and im actually boycotting his bullshite writing. Sick of wasting my time reading this ****s articles. Would love to see him on the street break his fricking neck and while hes laying there twitching ill keep kicking his frickking teeth in...

Comment from the article. This guy is mad.

Sounds more like Mercury Morris.

At least he should recognize the prison rape that happened to the failcons last night.

People don't really mention the fact that Atlanta was still going for it on 4th down despite being well out of the game. They were bound and determined to not give Drew Brees a shot to break the record against them. That's a point of pride. I get that. But then when people whine that the Saints did not take the foot off the gas, that's just stupid. The Falcons proved they still wanted to play by going for it on 4th down.

Don't you just love internet tough guys who always talk about what they'd do to somebody if they saw them on the street?

Five will get you ten the guy that posted this weighs 106 lbs w/ rocks in his pockets, has coke-bottle lenses a half-inch thick, zits, and is posting from his mom's basement.

To be fair, there's a thread on the Falcons board about this, and most of them agree with the article.

All that those Falcon pussies had to do was punt on 4th down, then Brees could have gained the yardage for the record without scoring again. If anyone showed poor sportsmanship, it was those assholes.

this is what everyone seems to be ignoring.. if Smith just punts the ball on 4th down from his own 33, then Drew probably gets the record without having to score a TD.

At 38-16, Smith obviously thought the game was still close enough to warrant going for it on 4th down, so how does that then not translate into the game still being close enough for the Saints to score again?
