Since the NOLA no call ... I watch the NFL knowing it's completely rigged / slanted towards a preferred outcome

I don't know if it has actually become more obvious or if I can just see it easier now, but in 50+ years no team has played for the Super Bowl in their own stadium, then all of a sudden two teams win one in their own stadium- aside from the other stories behind those games? No, the NFL is rigged to an extent. Probably not every game, but they're going to get certain outcomes by hook of by crook.

I live in Michigan and have a bunch of friends who are Lions' fans - all really cool guys who would pull for the Saints in the playoffs once the Lions were out of it. This stuff has happened to both the Saints and the Lions for years.

won’t say the game was rigged but it is very clear in general that the nfl wants Dallas in the thick of the Super Bowl hunt real bad.

That and they needed a Dallas win / Detroit cover.

Yeah, that sucks. It's unfortunate, man," Goff said. "I don't know if I've had this feeling before where you feel like you've won, and you didn't. With that being said though, the next two plays we had shots at it."

Kind of love to see this quote from Goff after his comments on the no call saying the saints had other shots. frick him

This one is on the Lions. When a tackle reports as eligible, the referee is supposed to announce the number of the player who is eligible. If they didn't hear the number announced, (and given the noise, that is understandable that they didn't) they should have spoken up and checked. My guess is the wrong player reported and the 2 o-lineman are covering it up to cover their butts. According to a story on NBC Sports, the other lineman had been reporting the whole game; this was a special play where a special lineman reports. The most logical explanation is the players messed that up. Players screw up the play call all the time, especially in high pressure situations. Even if the ref was the one that messed up, the Lions still should have checked when they didn't hear the confirmation.

If that last pass is better, the lions win anyway.

They had the play on the last 2 point drive, Goff didn’t throw it to right place

I can understand not wanting to go to overtime but they did have all the momentum at that point

Detroit did appear to cause the confusion with refs so it’s on them

Late flag for holding against the Lions would have negated the win.
