That is an obvious take from an outsider. I would likely be saying the same thing if it were another team
You can bet if the roles were reversed and the Rams were doing this, this board would absolutely be saying the Rams are wasting their time and money and need to get over it.

You make the mistake that anyone cares besides saints fans. They don’t. Accept it
I see your point but this isn't true entirety.

My three closest coworkers are a Niners fan, a Pats fan and a Pittsburgh fan. Now, granted, they don't care as much as Saints fans do- but they care, a good deal. They've all said that it was complete bullshite, and if it had happened to their team, they'd want to firebomb the NFL to the ground.

The Pats fan is really happy that his team is playing the Rams instead of the Saints because he believes the Saints would have been much harder to beat, especially in the south and in a venue they're so familiar with... but he also says it isn't fair at all that the Saints are sitting at home instead of playing in the SB.

Perhaps, but they are talking about it....still. The "Strong Arm" is loving the publicity this gives him......just wait until "The Womac" gets put on them

Calling people stupid for not letting it go.
That take aggravates me and plays into Goodell's silence. Why should we just "let it go?" Would Golic have just "let it go" if it happened to him when he was playing? Hell no.

You don't think those lawyers are going to depose those refs and others to find out if there were marching orders to influence the outcome of the game?

But I agree, it won't make it through the initial hearing. The judge will say that the NFL is an entertainment business for profit and it explicitly states on your ticket you are only guaranteed to be entertained whether good or bad when you purchase that product. Such a rendering by a judge will show 100% that the NFL can and will influence their product without fear of retribution because they know they are no different than WWE in the realm of business. They only pretend you are watching a legitimate product at any time.

Doesn't mean all games are influenced whatsoever. Just means the league reserves the right to influence any outcome it so wishes seeing as they own the business. And if it means they make more money (LA Rams 2nd largest market) so be it. We are the gullible masses that eat it up.

Well, use to. I won't watch another game. That ended it for me.

keeping it in the public eye... keeping that play running on a loop all the way through the Super Bowl... and continuing to de-legitimize the Rams Super Bowl appearance is enough of a win to any Saints fan

it's not about winning in court... it's about reminding the NFL that the wrong team is in the Super Bowl representing the NFC

I agree anax, his motivations weren't truly altruistic in nature. There is an altruistic solution to this but i would need your help.

Their show is a waste of time and airwaves. I can not stomach more than 2 minutes of that show. I keep going back just wanting sports news and scores and it's nothing but them entertaining themselves with stupid jokes.
