...and cast to TV, or watch via the app on Apple TV (or similar device). I logged in using my direct tv account info.

Only if you are within the broadcasting region tho. Which is essentially pointless if you already have a TV to watch it.

My parents live in region where game is being shown. I do not. I'm using their login to watch Saints instead of 49ers

I’m in Cali in a pretty rural region and can’t get any streaming to work.
