The refs were terrible
The illegal hands to the face on Mathieu was a terrible call and the refs are not going to get shite done to them about it.
That should have never been called auto 1st down on 3 and 8 that extended the drive that led to a touchdown.

here's how footballzebras defends the DPI call that basically gifted Justin Jefferson the TD rush when we led 22-19

While there was handfighting all the way, the arm grab is too restrictive and tipped to DPI. No face mask foul for a raking motion, in fact face mask calls are rare across a visor

A “raking motion” is an interesting way to describe a grabbing him by the face mask and pulling the defender past you so they can’t make a play on the ball

It's an open hand that goes across the visor. The officiating dept calls this a "raking motion". A player's head can turn due to that action and it's still legal.
