Even so, still over $7 million a year (whether 2 or 3 years). Some are making it sound like it is not really a $7 million a year deal, when it actually is, regardless of length after two years.

He'll be the 12th highest paid TE which is about right for him.

I think it's a fair deal after learning about the details of the contract. We're hurting this year and should have plenty of money in the future. It's a good deal if he produces like I think he will.

He seems like a great guy. He responds to fans comments on his Facebook page. Most athletes don't bother to reach out to fans like that. I think it's pretty cool.
