I don't think anyone realistically thinks the saints are going 6-8. However, I think Tampa might surprise us all and get a wildcard.
They have done the one thing that no one else has in the NFC South. Improved their secondary.

I tend to disagree, I think we improved ours with lewis/vaccaro. ATL in theory tried to improve theirs, but trufant hasn't looked very good.

I think freeman is gonna implode after 4 games into the season.

Man, I don't pay close attention to the other teams in our division, but these guys pay absolutely no attention. This o-line might turn out to be the best in the Payton era.

What makes you think this?

Oh yeah, the history of Josh Freeman.

Not to sound like a dick or conceited, but most guys I have seen, at least from southern Louisiana are small, and I am 6'1 and 215 lb gym rat.

You would fail miserably in the field of Marketing Research.
So "most guys you have seen from southern Louisiana are small."
Well HOW MANY have you "seen?" 20? 50? 100?
500? 1000?
Do you KNOW how many "guys" are in southern Louisiana?
The metro New Orleans area alone is 1.2 MILLION people.

You don't come off as a dick or as conceited, just very very very stupid.

I said as much in the Preseason Observations thread. Deep too. The backups are probably than a handful of teams.

I thought he was going to keep improving since his "break-out season", even into last year with doug martin at his disposal he was playing well. Then the string of games in the second half once again leads to me questioning him.

We did struggle last year against the Saints more than we should have. But then we played down to the level of a lot of crappy teams last year (Raiders, Saints, Panthers etc). If the Falcons are the Super Bowl contenders we believe they should be, they need to be able to beat lousy teams like the Saints (I think they’ll go 6-8 AT BEST this year) even minus a star or two.

LOL. Delusion. That's the only way to explain this guy's comment. He's been watching football since '08 and thinks he knows it all. Typical Falcons fan.

Something hit close to home?
If there were stats on the breakdown by states, I would post them. But there aren't, so it is just my opinion vs yours.
But when I graduated hs, I graduated with 400, and was the middle of the pack height wise. On LSU campus though, most the time I feel like a giant. Unless I'm walking by football or basketball players.

Its nothing personal, genetics are just different down here. I do know a few tall guys though, but they are from North LA or Laffy.

Vaccaro will be a good player in time, and the jury is still out on Keenan Lewis. I am not saying yall got worse, and there might have been improvement. But if any, it was slight. Unless that is Harper gets no playing time and they give it all to Vacaro.

But the panthers didn't really do much, the Falcons took two steps back (can't miss grimes because he never played, but at least Robinson brought experience), but Tampa took two huge steps forward bringing in Revis IMO. If he can stay healthy, they might have found the winning ticket in a pass heavy division.

Not really. I prefer doing actual activities like kayaking, playing sports, hiking, bike riding, stuff like that. I do push-ups and pull ups, that's about it. Occasionally I use weights, and might start getting back into it. I definitely look like I lift though, I'm not a small dude.

Biggest improvement I've seen is on the defensive line. Cam Jordan had a really good season last year (basically the only bright spot on the defense), and he looks like he's ready to take that next step. Foster looks like he's the real deal, along with Hicks. Bunkley and Jenkins have also looks very nice.

Oh, I am not calling all people in Louisiana small. Just a majority. I love being in the outdoors, but I usually make it into a workout. Couple of weeks ago me and my friend went kayak fishing on a lake, and ended up picking a fishing spot 3 miles away on the Alabama side.

I know, but since I am always a guest on the board, I like to talk real football. In theory, we are improving our secondary for the future. And we have two great safeties. IMO, one of the top 5 duos in the NFL (a little bit of homer right there, but WAR was a pro bowler last year and DeCoud was better than Moore.)

But for right now, we took two huge steps back.
