I wonder what our meltdowns were like after last year

I was in shock.

I then proceeded to get drunk.

I got up the next morning and went to work. I didn't go on any Saints sites for a few days. I didn't read the write ups on the game. I didn't even look at the box score until several months later.

I finally saw that game again (I had even avoided highlights) during this preseason. It was a great game--objectively speaking. I finally looked at the box score when I was watching it in August. Wow.

That was my meltdown.

?? I think most falcons fans realize the Saints have been better than them over the last 10 years.

I think most fans are just tired of being good during the regular season and then falling short in the post-season. It'd been worse had we lost to Seattle a week ago... but really - what's it matter. If you don't win the super bowl - what's the difference between 2nd place or 4th - both still are losers.

ETA: I get pissed/frustrated about ATL as anyone (or so I thought) but I'm not going to take my gun and break my tv with it. Those people need to re-evaluate ... well... a lot of things.

very true. they should start with their fandom.

Just become a Saints fan already. You know you want to. Hell jump on in now and you an be a fan of a franchise while it wins the superbowl. with CSP back, we all know where we are headed next year.

Last year i was watching that game at ground patty burger restauraunt. When the niners scored that touchdown with 9 seccosds i picked up my burger and my arm went back to theow it against the wall...but then i put it back down. I could not eat it after that so i took it to go and i punted the to-go box when i got to the parking lot. I was so sad :(

I had a party at my house. When we scored the last TD everyone went nuts. When they scored the last TD we all kind of fell silent. Then got blackout drunk. Alcohol solves all problems.

I went into a cataclysmic downward spiral of alcoholism and drug binging, self medicating and wallowing in isolation full of loathing and self doubt... Spent weeks thrashing and seizing uncontrollably waking up in small lakes of my own bloody saliva. Murdered several families of baby possums and blue jays, intentionally burned 85% of my body with a heated ice skate, attempted suicide 4 times before finally succeeding on the 5th attempt, then ordered a steak extra well done at Ruth's Chris topping it with ketchup.
