Extra effort

That was the difference in a win and a loss today. So many players extended and fought for every inch and it was great to watch. Shough, Olave, and Johnson, especially, all seemed to reach out, extend and try to run over people for extra yards. There were multiple plays where, in the past, we would have been looking at a 3rd and a yard or a 4th and inches instead of a 1st down, or a turnover on downs instead of a 4th down conversion. The Mark Ingram play from a few years ago comes to mind. Today the Saints beat a team known for their toughness, in their stadium, by being tougher. I’m very proud of this team for each of the last 2 weeks effort. Who Dat!
