I feel the same way about every player ever drafted. So the post draft grades are still invalid.

I'm not arguing that point at all.
Draft grades made earlier than 2 years after the draft are useless.

But Ingram really does need to stay healthy.

Absolutely. One guy who needs to stay healthy is Payton while he is off for a year. I dont not want that guy getting complacent and come back looking like a slob eating five guys on the sidelines instead of juicy fruit. LOL

Saints were hamstrung by the lack of top tier draft choices. There were no sexy picks by the saints, they will be losing more of their core defense after the suspensions (yet picked mostly offense), combine that with the negativity surrounding the organization right now, and it's more of the piling on effect. Makes perfect sense to me.

But I'm starting to think we're too sensitive around here.

Just wait till the in-season threads start..."did you see where blah blah has us ranked this week in their power poll?'

Drives me nuts

just to add another, here is our Yahoo grade:

New Orleans Saints
Picks: DT Akiem Hicks, WR Nick Toon, DB Corey White, G Andrew Tiller, OT Marcel Jones
Grade: F
Analysis: The Saints traded their '12 first-round pick to get Mark Ingram last year. The jury is still out on Ingram – he was hurt most of the year and didn't do much to help the offense. Worse, there are some people who think he doesn't have the explosiveness to be great. On top of that, the Saints lost their second-round pick in the bounty scandal. That's a terrible start. Hicks and Toon are interesting, but they're going to have to be really impressive to help salvage this draft.

If I was grading a draft, I would grade them on the picks they have.
I wouldn't grade them down because they forfeited picks or because they made a trade LAST YEAR.

you have a point for the forfeited pick.

as for the pick they shipped off for something in return, of course that can be graded.
