I'm sticking with trolling. He can't seriously be comparing which pick is better based off 3 preseason games, right...RIGHT?!?!?!

It should be easier for a new safety to make more of an impact on the worst defense in the league than on one of the best defenses in the league. That being said, I would hope that KV improves the Saints D more than Reid improves the 49ers D.

Reid picked picked three spots after Vaccaro wins starting free safety position for a Super Bowl team. Vaccaro won't start for the worst defense in NFL history. Did Saints pick the wrong safety?
You do realize their starting FS left for Tampa Bay??? If we pick Reid, KV would be their starter..... We, Unfortunately, still have our starters and it's just a matter of time KV will take the job from Harper or Jenkins.

The 2012 Saints defense? That was crappy. How about you?
Was. The 2013 Saints D hasn't played a real game yet.

Tell me how the zone blitz works.
Drop pass rushers into coverage while blitzing coverage guys. Pretty general.

What makes the ameba set effective?
You are just making shite up, unless this was a particular set used by a pee-wee guy you played for.

Why teams switch from 4-3 to 3-4. tell me. Is it due to personnel or a change in philosophy.
Personnel and philosophy. Its what the coach wants. His decision.

Tell me what dictates where the Sam LB lines up.
The strong side of the opposing OLine. That's his read.

What's the QB's first read on the read option?
The Defensive End.

When does he hand off or keep?
DE rushed up field, keep. DE stays put, hand off.

Which defensive position dictates this, Mr.Rumdog?
Answered this already.
Now, you want to talk Saints football or do you want to quiz everybody again.

And this is why I have come to hate LSU fans and have lost much of my passion for LSU football. I am actually a "Let's draft NO LSU player" guy now, because I loathe all the damn "LSU greater than GOD" fans.

while you are correct, it's a little more complex than this. they will drop ANYONE into coverage, not just pass rushers. Even the NT will drop back sometimes. The idea is to always disguise who is blitzing and then to take away passing lanes with the non rushers dropping into designated zones. This creates confusion and makes the QB either hold onto the ball too long or throw it into a covered passing lane.

We switched because our personnel was better suited to run a 3-4. The 4-3 is getting harder to run effectively due to the lack of true 4-3 DE's. The 3-4 is much more flexible as to who can play as a primary pass rusher.
If you haven't noticed, our d-line has been playing exceptionally well all preseason. Their performance this year will dictate our success this season. They can make everyone else's job a lot easier.

Remember, Jason David was a serviceable CB when he had Dwight Freeny in his prime rushing the passer.

He was also strictly a Tampa 2 corner.

start
Just because he's not "starting" in our base 3-4 online ESPN depth chart that I know you're looking at doesn't mean he's not going to play or he's any worse than any safety we have on the team.
He'll see a significant amount of reps. I think you'll see him in coverage - both man and zone more often than you see him in the box like Harper will be. You will also see him, Harper, and Malc Jenk on the field at the same time which will probably confuse the hell out of you.
