Drew Brees

What’s sad is that many here thought this guy should be playing all along. You don’t miss what you had until it’s gone. And believe me it’s gone. Some of us remember the days before Brees. Some of you will learn. But easier said than done to replace our goat. Only a handful per generation like Brees.

This is pretty obvious to anyone with a brain. It never mattered which one of these guys called plays when Brees was in his prime. Brees leaves, and the passing offense craters to last in the league with the genius calling plays. The genius leaves and the offense still sucks with Carmichael calling plays.

Brees made Payton. Not sure how long that will take to sink in. Maybe the Cowboys will find out the hard way next year.

Just look at the patriots since Brady left. They aren’t terrible but they took a big hit.

Belichick is widely regarded as the best coach in the league but even he is struggling without a great quarterback.
