I've only been to a handful of events at the Dome. LSU game, ULL game, Saints game and honestly, every time the parking sucks. Getting in, not horrible, but getting out....yeah be ready to sit for a while. Leave early if you can.

Not nearly as bad as a home game. We always parked near the quarter and walked to the the dome, but we liked eating before/after games depending on the time of day.

My walk up route goes by a few of the garages and it seems like it’s a nightmare to drive out after the game with the crowds not allowing gaps to drive through

Well the main issue is that people are flooding out of the dome for 45 minute to and hour after the game. So the priority for the cops is getting people across the street and very little traffic can leave a garage with the number of people crossing in front of the driveways.

We have been to numerous games and NCAA final and often park at the city garage across from the Benson Tower. It often take 60-90 minutes to level and we are often on the bottom level.
