You're right, they probably would have drafted Vince Young and said frick you Drew... you know... knowing what they know now and all.

It's a question of cost more than anything else.
As a player, he is decent, and gets a lot of attention from opposing coaches. If given the chance, he can make plays that most cannot, but yeah, this doesn't happen often.
I think at a lower price, he would be a fine bargain, but his "star power" causes a higher price, and in the end, brings serious question to his worth.
But like any former Saint, if we let him go, he'll go Pro Bowl the next season.

Yes and the Coach, Owner and GM seem to agree

Look, I don't think we should get rid of Bush. Restructure his contract? Yes. Get rid of? No. He has value to the team. But it is fair to question that value when someone like Sproles is more valuable on the field and paid a whole lot less.

He brings the cool factor.... Priceless

He is definitely "not" justified!

The question should be: Does his 10 mil a year (or whatever is) justify his play? My answer is heck no. Only the Raiders would be dumb enough to even think about giving him that type of money for his play so far.
I think he is worth more like 2-3 mil a year at the most.

Dam right . The guy gives it 100 % man . He is a a decoy any time he is in a game . The other team has to know where is at all time .He has good work habits............

There can never be enough Bush threads!!!
Look, the guy is a difficult fit in the NFL. That's not really his fault. I think he gives effort. Hell, maybe he tries to do too much sometimes.
But no one else would have made it to the flag on the reverse against the Dolphins. Same with the end around against the Giants. I like it when he gets the ball in open space. And,if he doesn't fumble, he is a serious threat on punt returns. Restructure his contract next year if that's possible.

Sad but true. Hey, maybe he's worth the $$$ just to keep him from other teams. Oh well, he makes good highlight reels.

I think I could like him a little more if he'd only run more north south than east west...
