late into this thread and haven't read it all but I've mentioned this before...
how the Super Bowl dates often correspond and run right into Mardi Gras. I envision a celebration that starts after the SB win and just melds/flows/continues throughout Mardi Gras week. Hopefully there will be a Lombardi trophy or two before 2013. But that year when the Super Bowl is at the dome it would be incredible to have the first true homefield Super Bowl win. Mardi Gras is Feb 12 that year. Can you imagine a Saints SB win the Sunday before Fat Tuesday? It likely would be the most gigantic party in Louisiana history.
