You arent hiring a position. You are hiring the most impactful guy in the organization. A leader of men. Im not saying dennis allen cant be that, he may. But you better be damn well sure he is capable of running a whole ship. He failed spectacularly the first time

I’m not totally against Dennis Allen as HC, but there’s absolutely nothing on his resume that says just give him the job and keep the ball rolling. This needs to be a legitimate search.

Most everybody fails in Oakland. The options are:
Take a chance on someone who knows the team and culture….or
Take a chance on someone who will put together a different culture.
I say give Dennis Allen a year. This team is still very good.
