Sack % is the one that stands out the most. Rankins did have 16% of our team's sacks though

Otherwise nothing too drastic

Yea but that’s pulling him based on situation, really it just means DA knew what he was doing with the DLine personnel.

We shall see what happens when he is out full time.

I think Taylor Stallworth is about to prove he’s a steal.

True, but the YPA, pass success rate and explosive pass rate are all up as well when Rankins isnt on.

Im not worried about the run game

I don’t know this to be true, but I’d wager some of that is simply him coming out on obvious passing downs at times. Of course those rates would then be up.

Sack percent nearly halved but turnover percent nearly tripled. I'll take that.

Obviously we give up a few more big plays and slightly (slightly) longer runs, but it shows we have legit depth at the position.

The thing that will hurt most is losing a guy in rotation (the one used to playing the most snaps), thus potentially wearing down that interior. If we let the game stay close it could have a huge affect on our run defense in the late 3rd and the 4th quarter.

It was a pass play 66% of the time he's on the field though.

If anything Id say he was coming out the game more so on early, would be running downs

Would make more sense if it was on obvious run downs and we have both of the NTs in instead (Davison and Stallworth), and then they went playaction and got a good chunk.

I don't recall if he came out on that 4th and short against Carolina, for instance. That would have a HUGE swing on the numbers on that play alone.

Fair points by you and Gyno. This is why I generally leave the speculation to the experts.

Onyemama is a good pass-rushing DT. Keep Davison and Stallworth at NT and let Onyemama go after the QB.
