SIAP, but I haven't seen this on the board yet. Looks like Dan Campbell & Aaron Glenn are being interviewed as possible coordinators. Hopefully we can keep both of them...

The New Orleans Saints have an assistant coach on another team's radar.

Assistant head coach/tight ends Dan Campbell is scheduled for a Tuesday interview with the Minnesota Vikings for the team's vacant offensive coordinator position, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reports.

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer is familiar with Campbell from their time with the Dallas Cowboys. Campbell played tight end for the Cowboys from 2003 to 2005 while Zimmer served as the defensive coordinator.

After his playing career ended in 2009 with the Saints, Campbell entered the NFL coaching ranks as an intern with the Miami Dolphins in 2010.

Campbell later served as the Dolphins tight ends coach (2011-15) and interim head coach (2015) before returning to New Orleans in his current position in 2016.

agreed - TE play this year seemed improved over years past - not one to have a guy miss an opportunity, but would to see him go

The TE blocking improved tremendously.

I was shocked he didn't get more offers after his interim gig in Miami. He took over for Philbin who had a 1-3 start (.250), and pushed that team to finish their last 12 games as 5-7 (.417). I hoped we would get one more year out of him, but if he moves on it's well-deserved and I wish him the best. You couldn't ask for a more down-to-earth players coach than Dan Campbell.

I've been secretly hoping Carmichael gets an offer to go somewhere so CSP could promote him to OC.

I wouldn't complain if that happened.

Based on what? He's been a good assistant to Payton and he trusts him. Also the offense has been prolific; maybe not as a direct result of him, but he has been an obvious accessory to Payton's success.

I thought you quit watching games, and wished the league and the players went to the armpit of Europe.
