As would I. I would be willing to accept that they're a good team despite my hatred for them, but when the media starts blowing Ryan as a top 5 QB and how this offense is all of a sudden "so extremely explosive" is when I begin to have a problem. Unfortunately this year seems to be a mirror image of 2010 when the Falcons were also another sexy, trendy Super Bowl pick. The sad and pathetic thing is, they're 6-0 and their stands are still barely full. Their fandom is so forced and trite its hilarious

Going in to the game today he had better numbers than everyone you listed but Brees. IDK what the numbers are after today but they're probably not much different.

I think TD to Int ratio is exactly the same as Brees, and he has higher completion % and rating, but Brees has more yards.

He also threw another 3 picks up today. Not to mention blasted out of the playoffs every time he's been there. Look he's a solid QB, but when MVP talk starts rolling in that's when I can't take it seriously. It's easy to tack up yardage when all of your passes are checkdowns

It's a nice little accomplishment but you're not even guaranteed a playoff spot. You can say all you want but the Falcons are quickly turning into the Cowboys when it comes to the postseason. But hey, even they got past their first round in 09

Alex Smith very well could be MVP. He's probably going to finish with more wins than Ryan, higher completion %, higher rating, and better TD-INT ratio.
Statistically he will be better in everything but yards.
Then again, Brady could win it himself, because currently he is just barely behind Ryan in all of those stats.
