There are a lot of great receivers in the NFL man stop it.

Right now OBJ, AB, and Julio are the unquestioned 3

After that lots of great players are capable of being right behind them

CJ
Aj Green
D Thomas

Etc
Marshall, Jeffery, Hilton, Fitz, Hopkins

You even have trending guys like KB, Sammy, Cooper, Hurns etc. There are a lot of good players today

Cooks has not convinced me he is a reliable #1. We need Treadwell , Cooks is a sidekick type player

Every receiver I named would be top 10 with Brees

Yall need to stop what yall are doing right now and watch this clip Brandincookem has been able to find for us. Watch it over and over again and you will see what dare I say only a handfull of WR's can do.
Catch a 15 yard slant and run to daylight. Its like nothing I've ever seen before. My god we need this so bad.
yall thank Brandincookem for showing us this rare rare feat and pray it gets to the FO. watch it again its amazing what he has found.

Lets watch again...

And Brandincookem you keep posting gems like this and there will be something special at the end of that long dark tunnel your in.

Well that was easy, his first game

LINK

That soft receiver went up, grabbed the ball, and absorbed the hit

This one ain't bad either

LINK

Not to mention that wasn't your original statement either. Derp

And fighting for the ball in the air and drawing PI is certainly something he can improve on, but it is laughable, absolutely idiotic actually, to call him a bust, end of story.

8 TDs over the last 8 games and over 14 ypc makes him an obvious game changer.

And when he was drafted, we had Jimmy Graham as our #1. That's why we paid him all that money....

He's been very, very good for us and has had a monster end to this season

Stats don't matter. They play like real mean. Tired of these soft Grahams.

Cooks plays with Drew Brees. John Brown would put up the same stats here

They are the exact same player in fact

Dez Bryant is a top 5 receiver in the NFL.

And Dez is right there with them when healthy.

Did you forget his 16 touchdowns last year?

You have a hard time understanding that Cooks Won't even run full speed after catching that you simply cannot comprehend this.

Again AB takes one cut and goes

COOKS will do his best Reggie Bush impression and get caught

It looks easy because AB makes it look that way idiot just as Odell takes that plants his foot and he's gone

No one has said he's in the same category as AB

You're the only one arguing that he needs to have that YAC skill, in his second year, in order to not be a bust

Hey f@cktard I'm not comparing Cooks to the top receivers in the league you dumbass troll.

If you could read I already said he wasn't what I/we quite expected as a 1st rounder(yet) trollass.

But saying he's a bust is retarded and you know it troll.

Please troll somewhere else I feel dirty now troll.

But Cooks will have more YAC than Antonio Brown when you compare sophmore seasons. Cooks had a better rookie year and definitely will have a better 3rd year than Brown.

Brown's 4,5, and 6 years are phenomenal and compares to nobody hardly in the history of the league.

You are talking about stats I am talking about play style

Idc about his stats I want him to make one cut and go whether he has 1000 yards or 400 yards

He does not have the skills of a true #1 Right now. Worst part is those skills like high pointing, fighting for it, making something out of nothing (YAC) cannot just magically happen.

You have that or you don't simple as that

Of the top TWENTY Yac yard leaders this year, only 8 are wide receivers. 8 out of 20. Ingram is 10th.

So one can be top 10 in WR yardage in the league but simultaneously doesn't possess the ability to be a single team's true #1 WR. ?

Stats that you brought up.

Stats that actually measure what you claimed.

Brown had 342 YAC in his second season. Cooks is at 330. Not to mention that it took Brown 4 seasons to break Cooks' numbers from this year

Almost like players improve year to year if they work hard enough at it

fricking crazy. I guess Brown was a bust until 2013

Right? Saints fans should know what a bust is. We've had plenty

I have seen Cooks have many opportunities to do it, he cannot.

2 catches yesterday I saw and immediately said those are big plays if that's Brown.

He catches it chops his feet and gets himself caught. He catches it instead of hitting a spin move, Juke, or cutting back inside he runs out of bounds twice.

And the other was on erd I believe he choppes hia feet and gave the defense a chance to catch him.
