I'm with supporting the FO decision. Nothing about my opinion but where I guess them on the team's draft board are-

Jenkins
Matthews
Davis
Cushing
Wells
Jerry

That doesn't mean we have to settle for a shitty running game.

If we could run more efficient, we would.

and certainly short yardage killed us and nearly cost us some games.

Neither will any DEF player we pick in the draft. At least not this year.

Yes it will. You seriously don't think they want a defensive Meachem, do you? If they draft an OLB you bet your arse they will expect him to contribute immediately. I personally think they will go defense and try to pick up a RB later. But like I said, if they go RB, well I'll support it cause Wells can play.

do i think they want a defensive Meachem?

frick no

it would just be hard for either Cushing or Matthews to jump in a start. Contribute? sure. We have 2 starters there that have been there for a while. Its gonna be hard to just jump in and start.

do i like Cushing and Matthews? yeah, but I think Wells comes in and helps us much more immediately and DEF makes a bigger impact.

Unfortunately, this strategy doesn't work very well in cold weather games in the playoffs. How many 3rd/4th and short situations we couldn't convert last year that cost us the game? We definitely need to add a power-running dimension to the offense!!!
