Why would we tender him at second round if we would trade him for a 7th round pick?

Because after 1st and 2nd rounder tender, they can sign for the same money as a late round/ UDFA player so any team could come in an scoop him up for cheap if they are given a late round tender. The tender was essentially an insurance policy for us so we wouldn't lose him for an amount we would have payed. Teams do not want to give up draft picks, especially for running backs. Too much volatility.

I should rephrase, IF he stays healthy. Feature back with talent on a team with a shite QB = fantasy gold

King Kong sized "if" with Ivory.

If we are talking about trades, I'm looking at the Jet's roster right now. They tendered their right tackle Austin Howard for a 2nd rounder as well. So his contract is the same as Ivory's. He graded out as the 4th best run blocking tackle and the 8th best pass blocking tackle.... Interdasting...

Problem with that is a tackle has way more
Value than runningback
Value than runningback

This is essentially a tryout for a team looking to possibly trade for a player.

Isn't this scenario the same way we got Jason David?

So that you can get a 7th round pick for him.

I hear you can get a 1st and a second for Ingram

I read somewhere that's going to be a hell of a draft...play makers down to Mr. Irrelevant.

Saints fans liked Ivory 3 years ago, now they don't care bout him.

That's why there's a 4 page thread about him possibly leaving.

This is some foolishness.
