We're on an LSU message board, I really doubt there are many Saints fans here that aren't LSU fans too. Any interfan trash talking is likely an extension of the ridiculous NO vs BR rivalry.

why is that? makes no sense. I like the Saints better than LSU but still a big LSU fan, just a bigger Saints fan. When LSU loses I get over it a lot faster than when the Saints do.

The Saints fans that buy those season tickets have a right to talk. Also, I'd like to ask Charles if he wants to take that paycheck and performance to say a Jets, Giants, or Philly franchise as see how he likes the response he'd get there. I promise you that his opinion would change and he wouldn't be getting warm greetings leaving the Meadowlands.

Any "fan" who curses or boos their own team is a shitty fan whether they are 1-15 or 15-1. I thought is was shitty when fans booed Reggie earlier in the year too.
But what concerns me is why is Charles Grant so concerned about the fans anyway. Is he honestly happy with the defenses' performance the past few weeks? Did he expect a standing ovation after blowing a 17-0 lead? After reading the article he seems satisfied with winning 13 games regardless of what happens in the playoffs. This team showed very little passion in overtime yesterday.
Grant should be more pissed off over giving up over 100 yards rushing to Cadillac Williams and a lot less worried about a few fans booing.

I agree with the sentiment of what Charles is saying but Charles needs to understand that he isn't the one to express that sentiment to the media. He needs to let maybe coach or Drew Brees address that and he needs to just shut up. He's right in what he's saying but he's not the right person to voice out about it for the team IMHO.

Not me. LSU can lose ONE game and that season is a failure automatically. In the NFL you can lose 8 to possibly 10 games and still win the Superbowl.

Charles is right everybody is pissed that we lost(players,fans,owners ) but to be cussing the players out(not booing) while they are leaving the field. That's bullshite and you aren't a real fan if you do that shite. That doesn't pump anyone up that shite is annoying to me

Yes, but they don't have a right to be a chicken little moron and lose perspective on the fact that this team has already given them something more special in 13 weeks than the previous 40+ Saints teams combined. While I'd rather be charging into the playoffs than stumbling in, unless we do go one and done, I don't think I trade these last two losses for two wins earlier in the season plus playoff momentum. It's just been an uprecedentedly magical season until 2 weeks ago. 13 and 2 with earlier losses just wouldn't have been the same.

I have the right to express my disgust for what I just paid to see, just like you have the right to complain to the Chef at a restaurant if you didnt like your meal..
I'm not talking about cussing and telling them they suck, but saying that the performance was pathetic, and garbage is alright with me...they are paid professionals, they should be able to take a little criticism.

Don't expect them to go undefeated then you wouldn't have that problem. SAINTS fans was the ones saying the team would go 16-0, 19-0, etc. People it's VERY hard to go undefeated. Now when the team starts losing all hell breaks loose. You guys act like the damn team sucks. A lot of teams would love to trade places with the SAINTS right now. They only lost 2 games. No need to be booing players, coaches, etc. It's not like the SAINTS have a great history of winning anyways. Be happy with only 2 losses. I mean it could be the other way around and you only have 2 wins.

I pretty much agree. I'd be pissed if those same fans at the player exit that were high fiving a couple of weeks ago were saying I suck after a couple of losses. However, Grant should know better than to open his mouth about it.
