CB Aqib Talib to be released....

ESPN NFL - Buccaneers expected to release CB Aqib Talib (2008 1st-rd pick), according to St. Petersburg Times.
We knew he was gonna have a suspension at least but now to have him off the Bucs and hopefully out of our Division will be nice. He is a true shutdown corner. What a waste of Talent.

Maybe now they go CB in the draft instead of DE moving the better DEs down the board to us.

As for the Bucs picking up Jimmy Smith, I don't know if they are going to cut one problem child who is close to all pro to take a chance on another problem child who is an unknown in the league.

as discussed in the TB mock pick thread, Jimmy Smith is clearly the #3 CB in on the field talent. Problem is he might be a bigger POS than Talib. If yer cutting him for those reasons, clearly picking Smith wouldn't make sense. We could hope they stretch pick Brandon Harris though.

Yeah, cutting Talib to pick up Smith doesn't make sense. I'm guessing they have a trade partner worked out for draft day to move up to get Prince or down for Harris.
Maybe the 49ers will pick Prince, then trade with the Bucks if Locker is still on the board.

I know its not allowed right now, but it seems that they could of traded him for something or someone. Talib has talent. I would of waited till the labor agreement was over before making this move.
