Carr is only playing because of Brees throwing 5 TDs a week after same injury

He is a detriment at this point. Especially since he doesn’t have enough sense to not get rid of the ball and just keep getting hit. I’m sure he got shot up, but I bet his shoulder hurts as much tomorrow as it did last Monday.
It’s a long season, guy. The OL sucks. Appreciate your toughness and feeling like you owe it to the organization for paying you. But playing today is not in your or the Saints long-term interest.

We’re in trouble when it’s time to put Winston in. And it’s that time.

Drew adapted and just threw 7 and 8 yard passes for the next 3 years.

I’m not even criticizing Carr necessarily. I get why he wants to be out there. Big divisional game at home that we HAVE to win. Wants to get a little chemistry with AK being back. Prove the confidence the organization showed in him by investing in him. Prove his toughness to his teammates…
I get all that and applaud it. But D.A. has to make the call he thinks in the best long-term interest of the team. Of course he did retain Pete 2 years in a row, so there’s that.
