What does it do to the cap situation if Ramczyk is medically retired? Does his whole salary convert this season or is there a medical restructure/payoff that happens?

If I recall correctly, any dead money going forward would accelerate to apply to the 2024 cap.
Not a cap expert though

Next season will be much like this season and last season.

He does not have any more guaranteed money under his contract, so there would be no new cash to Ram. His prorated bonus money would all count against the 2024 cap $32.7M. There may be an opportunity for the team to try to recover those funds, but I am not sure how that works and it will set a bad precedent for future free agents/contracts.
IMO, if he does end up retiring, I suspect they will work out a vet minimum contract restructure to reduce the 2024 cap hit and buy Loomis more time to massage the numbers. He will then officially retire post 6/01 to spread that $32.7M over the 2024 & 2025 caps.
Another option would be to rework his contract and lower his salary to vet minimum. Then let him sit on IR for the year so he can collect the vet min and have continued access to the medical staff. Then deal with the bonus cap hit over the 2025 & 2026 caps.
