Bush IS untradeable right now for his cap hit. They will be in position next year to either renegotiate long term or drop him. The only trade scenario would be after he renegotiated. And if he has a season that convinces them to do that then he wouldn't be on the block.
I share the LT info just for those who are gaga about the idea. Me, I wouln't mind for a 4th rder if AND if he was renegotiated into a cheap incentive based deal. That would be good insurance if RB is released in 2010.

why would trade for LT when the guy is in danger of being cut?
Please, whoever thinks that the saints should trade Reggie for LT, you should understand that you are an idiot.
Maybe trade a 4th rounder for LT or something if you have to to get him, but the Chargers probably won't even resign him anyways...Lets think logically fellas.
We would not have to trade Reggie to get LT.... this trade is highly unlikely, and really would not make any sense...
If you can't understand that then go follow a new sport, cuz you arent catchin on with this one...

Trade 1st round picks (14 & 16) and maybe some sort of other change and I'd seriously consider it.

This would be the worst idea since the Saints drafted a kicker in the 1st round

Like this is the most absurd thing posted on this board.
It's pretty bad. If we did this trade wouldn't about $8M of Bush money still count against our cap?

hey why is people so against any old people you know and another persons junk is another mans treasure Lt would be good here he still gots some skills heck ill take one year and a superbowl then not having a running back and not making the playoffs. Mark this down a remember this if we dont adress the running back issue we will be in the same boat and will not make the playoffs so yea get lt or get anyone beside bush and we will make the playoffs.

There is only one LT and that is Lawrence Taylor. Saints took Rogers instead and the rest is history

No way in hell. Bush is too valuable as a playmaker and has more shelf life in him. Is or will Bush ever become the dominant RB that Tomlinson is/was? No. Bush is not a RB, agreed. But what he gives the Saints as an option in the backfield to catch swing passes from Brees, return punts that at anytime can go for a TD, the occasional sprint through the middle for a 10 yd gain, and the added attention he gets from defenses that takes the pressure off other guys on offense cannot be replaced.

LT is 29. He's probably got 3 real good years left.
Doubtful. Look at some of the more successful running backs (in their prime) who have turned 30 over the past couple of years.
Shaun Alexander
Ahman Green
Sammy Morris
Ricky Williams (Who has missed some time and wear/tear on his body, so factor that in)
Michael Pittman
Warrick Dunn
Edgerrin James
The odds of finding a Thomas Jones or even a Fred Taylor are extremely rare. You can even argue that TJ didn't really start receiving major RB carries until he was halfway through his career, which may have contributed to his longevity.
Bottom line, Reggie just turned 24 this past week and has only carried the ball slightly over 400 times in his career, whereas LT almost had 300 alone last year and turns 30 in June. Tag that onto the 2400+ carries he's had in the rest of his career, and you can put a fork in him.

Look we all know Reggie is not a power back we knew that from the day we drafted him, but ill say this I would rather have him than not. The guy has flashes of brilliance sometimes and he always makes defenses watch him. Ask Lance Moore and Colston how much he is appreciated. Leave the guy alone I wouldnt make that trade ever.

all it takes is Breesus suggesting and it happens. Both won the good guy with a cape on award too.

Unless you are talking about a fat hairy Vagina the Saints have lying around the locker room to give to the Bolts for LT, I gotta go with no on this one.
