Building a team and tearing one down

I have continually said that Brian Kelly will not rebuild LSU’s football program in a matter of 8 months, and I’m afraid the same holds true for tearing a program down.

Allen won’t tear down everything Sean Payton built for 15 or 16 years down in a single offseason, even though he’s doing a pretty good job at trying. But it will continue to erode, and it will get worse and worse the longer you allow him to do so.

It’s really scary to think that as we have it right now, with Dennis Allen leading this team, this is the best it will be. I’m not even sure what the analogy is for a rock going downhill, when we are already on our way.
