Called DMI this morning to ask about travel packages, or more specifically to see if they were at a point where they’d consider selling just tickets (answer to that was a clear “no). Was told that interest in the game was “pretty low”, with Dallas, Pittsburgh, and even Detroit (!) being more popular so far with fans.

I then asked if I should look at certain sections when buying my tickets, and was told they wouldn’t know sections for sure until 2-3 weeks before the game.

I have been looking at some of the lower sections on the visitors side (109-111), may just pull the trigger next week and get it over with now.

Section 342 with three others.

MD, I see that you're in Pittsburgh. We are flying into Pit Thursday, staying downtown that evening, then driving on Friday.

Have reservations Thursday for dinner downtown at something called Butcher and the Rye. Is that a good enough spot or do you recommned something else (I'm worried about the Ravens game that night having everything in DT packed)?

Been doing some looking on things like Trip Advisor for possible pre-game meetup locations, but nothing really stands out to me. Bob Golic's is I assume a big pre-game spot, but I don't want to be a speck of Black and Gold in a sea of brown if I can avoid it.

I remember finding a little cajun place in Denver two years ago, was a great pregame spot with other Who Dats.

We were at that place in Denver. Is that where they had it barricaded out front? I think we are going to hit up golic's. When in rome.

Ffhouston. If you find a place let us know. We rolled up at a random tailgate in st.Louis (saints fans) and had a blast. We are going to the HOF in canton on Saturday.

I actually ate there last Saturday before the game. I liked it a lot. We got several small plates. They have their bourbon list on an iPad.

We are hitting the NFL HoF and Rock and Roll HoF on the way in on Saturday.

Good, thanks for the reply. We are staying in Akron Fri night, so we will hit the HOF Fri afternoon or first thing Sat (hours are 9-5 I think).

Weather looks great as well, low to mid 60s and sunny.
