Best 2017 Rookie Class in the NFL so far

My bigger question is will it supersede the '06 draft?
Bush-Harper-Evans-Ninkovich-Hass-Lay-Strief-Colston
Lattimore-Ramczyk- Williams-Kanmara-Anzalone-Hendrickson-Muhammed
OT Ryan Ramczyk (started every game): The Saints selected Ramczyk with the final pick in the first round (acquired from the Patriots in the Brandin Cooks trade) and the early returns have been outstanding. He's been reliable at both left and right tackle. Switching sides for a young player is a huge challenge and he's handled it smoothly.
S Marcus Williams (started every game): Williams was one of my favorite players to study last spring. The ultra-rangy Utah safety was very productive at the collegiate level and he's off to a great start in New Orleans. He's currently fourth on the team in tackles, he's intercepted 1 pass and broken up 2 others. He's been a very steady tackler in space. He should be a long-term starter for a much-improved Saints defense.
CB Marshon Lattimore (6 starts): Lattimore has been the crown jewel of the Saints' draft class. I was surprised when he fell to the Saints with the 11th overall selection and he has played like a top-5 pick. He has shown tremendous mirror-and-match skills in coverage and he plays the ball extremely well. I've also been pleasantly surprised with his physicality in run support. He's playing at a Pro Bowl level already and he's only going to get better.
LB Alex Anzalone (4 starts): The third-round linebacker from Florida was off to a promising start before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury Week 4. Prior to his injury, he was flashing the speed and athleticism he showed in Gainesville. His durability was a concern prior to the draft, but if he can stay healthy in the future, the Saints should have a very productive starting weakside linebacker.
I originally limited this list to rookie starters on first publish, but we need to mention running back Alvin Kamara, even though he hasn't started a game.
Kamara's been the Saints' most impactful rookie on offense. I was stunned he fell to the third round of the draft (the Saints took him with the 67th overall pick), and we've seen the outstanding burst he offers as a runner and receiver. His role continues to grow.
Story here, has some LSU-Bama draft look too

I think Lattimore can be as good if not better than any person in the 2006 draft (probably Colston)
Williams as good as Harper probably if not better
Ram as good as Evans ... doubtful
Kamara better than bush for sure
Hendricksonson as good and Ninkovich maybe
I don't think anyone left in 2017 draft touches Strief so it has possibility to be very close but will be hard

Now this is a thread.
Let's keep it at the top.

The only thing you might be able to fix is Carl Lawson and kendell Beckwith instead of Hendrickson and Anzalone.
Kareem hunt is an obvious choice, but he's more of a complete back than a mismatch weapon like Kamara is being used

Hendrickson has been playing well the past 2 weeks.

You can't really count Ninkovic as a plus for the Saints. We only had him for a year and he didn't play much. He became a great long time player once going to New England. Always bugged me because he did so well his rookie year in preason. Thought he was going to be a great pick up for us and then he was gone.

Gyno posted about it, but Hendrickson has been really solid in limited snaps. 2 sacks, FF and a 2 PD (one of the PDs was against the Lions and Lattimore picked it off for the TD).

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree. The post was purely nitpicking. Hendrickson is one reason why kikaha is being benched right now.

I wish we had Lawson as well, but I think Hendrickson is going to be a really solid player

Colston and Lattimeaux aren't in the same stratosphere

You are right now Colston has a much better career than Lattimore, but I still think with a little longevity Lattimore can be better. We will see.

I love Colston as much as the next guy but what Lattimore is doing as a rookie is WAY better than anything Colston did in any season during his career.
Colston was a very good WR for the saints. Lattimore has been arguably the best player at his position in the NFL.
Lattimore>>Colston
Edit: also with any longevity there is no "may" about it. Lattimore is better at football than Colston was. If he lasts 10 years, he will go down as the best defensive back possibly best defensive player to ever wear the black and gold.

He hasn't played a whole season yet and has yet to face a top five receiver in the NFL so I'm not ready to make that call, but if he finishes the second half life the first agreed. Julio is coming up for two games that will be his biggest test.

fair point and agreed.

I understand this is a what have you done for me lately attitude. But we are talking about the best receiver in Saints history who was a key contributor to our lone Superbowl and everyone is already saying a kid that has played 7 games is a sure fire 100% lock to be better. Sorry I have to disagree.

You're letting nostalgia cloud your judgement. You could cherry pick Colston's best 7 games from his whole career and it wouldn't be as dominant as Lattimore has been.
Don't get me wrong, Colston was great to watch but Payton schemes to put him in position to do what he did best which was shield off small DBs and hold on to the ball in traffic.
Lattimore has shown zero deficiencies in coverage. He can man up with anyone and outside of the Vikings game, he's been lights out in zone coverage as well.

Colston was as consistent as it gets. I understand the hype around Lattimore, he came into the league a star. But he still has a small sample size. That should be considered.

I think you missed the point

No, i got it. You are just an idiot that is too clueless to understand someone trolling you. Im not surprised honestly. You're not very impressive to be honest

#1 rule of trolling: don't tell the person you are trolling that you are trolling them.
