I'm not trying to damn you to hell but I'd like all of us to stay on top of whats really happened and whats the truth.

You came here announcing this morning's news like something new official happened when nothing did.

i came in and checked to see if anyone had mentioned Scott. No one had so i put that he signed. Agreed in principal is as close as you can get. He's waiting on a fax to sign his name. I was trying to keep people up to date, but then get blasted because he hasn't signed his name to a verbally agreed on contract. I mean come on thats just ridiculous.

It is close, but there are reports on rotoworld as well as other sites that say that he will give Baltimore every opportunity to match or exceed the offer. So it really isn't like he signed his name on anything.

and there are plenty of post on here involving non saints players, since it is free agency. There are people interested in what certain free agents are doing.

The Baltimore Sun passes along speculation that the Ravens are now offering Bart Scott a five-year, $42 million contract.

That's $2 million more than the Jets' offer. Scott also reportedly wants to be assured that he will be the "center piece" of the new defense, which means he would be taking over Ray Lewis' spot. Scott is still negotiating with both clubs.

If Scott wanted to leave, he would have signed the deal already. It's obvious he's playing the jets "AGREEING" to their deal.

Ray Lewis might be the one to end up in NY.

Or Vilma could be waiting on what the market sets for him. I think this Bart Scott deal might go a long ways to getting a Vilma deal done with whomever deal. Vilma should be in the same ball park as what Scott is getting.

About 4 of the 5 were somewhat saints related and affecting.

Anyways, the thread didn't bother so much as I just wanted to correct what he was telling folks. Folks like yourself don't know an apple from an orange so I got to make sure you don't get lost along the way.
