Why wasn't he utilized more? Seems like every time that he touched the ball that it was a big play.
I get it "Cause DA and Pete are idiots...yeah yeah yeah..."
But was there some issue with him, like learning the system, not running good routes? What's the talk?

Until Thomas shut it down for the season there was no room for him. They both play the same (loosely) style.
Once Thomas was back on the shelf for the season Perry came in and gradually gained confidence and that last game show a glimpse of his potential.
Had absolutely nothing to do with coaches being idiots, But some of them are only not for this reason.

AT is a raw rookie that flashed. I remember him quitting on a route that would have been a TD a few weeks ago. He is Thomas' replacement and I am happy to have him.

That's been talked about to death. He heard a whistle and felt in his mind he had jumped offsides. He didn't "quit of the route" in the sense that you are meaning it. He understands to just keep going regardless of if you think you hear a whistle until you see the play dead. Guarantee you this is a non issue with him or the team.
If he can come in and replace what we've had in Thomas it would be great. If he can come in and develop into something around 75%+ of what Thomas was in his prime the Saints stole the 2023 draft.

Not sure why, but I guess they were not using him much because they were worried about hurting MT's feelings?
I'm on board with Shaheed, Olave and Perry at WR. I feel like the longer we hold onto Thomas, the more it will bite us in the end.
