Downs has the smarts that he'd be able to help disguise coverages. He's pretty much a coach on the field type of player. Much better tackler than Taylor was also.
the Saints pass defense actually wasn't that bad if you believe in season ending stat lines. But opponents were ahead a lot more during the season when facing the Saints, so they didn't have to air it out as much. The run defense was better in 2025 than it was 2024 but it couldn't be much worse than it was that year.

If we do take Downs, which is probably my preference, I’d want a corner taken in mid rounds too
