Forget which local network it was but anyway…
Pretty much confirmed that it all goes back to how DA handled the falcons situation.
Basically said “all he had to do was chew us out behind closed doors.”
Eta- here’s the clip

one of the reasons I said in another thread that I felt he had lost the locker room, but was DV into oblivion.
and if we are truly being honest, i think there was some players pissed off he let Jameis walk in favor oh Haener - and lets not be naive - a big reason Jameis was allowed to go was because of the Atl game.

I think sticking with Dalton over Jameis in ‘22 lost a few guys (for right or wrong).

I agree with that as well. Jameis may not have been a elite, 1st ballot HoF inductee, but he was a well liked guy and could step in and manage a game, and in some cases play well enough to win - sure you know there would be a TO or 3, but compared to where we are......letting him walk was a mistake.

To piggyback off that some more Dennis Allen has now been fired twice with Derek Carr as his QB.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. When Dalton was the QB the Saints shut the Raiders out 24-0 at the dome.
Then that next off-season brought in Carr.
I know these guys are pros but like you said for right or wrong you have to wonder what they really think about the decisions that these coaches make.

A coach should never apologize about the score even if his players defied him. That was weak.

Jameis Winston will always be a GOAT for starting the Allen downfall!
