I heard on the radio during the Oak game that Shanle was the teams Def MVP last year.

Yes, and I think he was second on the team in tackles. The guys saying he sucks just don't know shite about football. He is a solid player, not flashy, but solid. I think some idiot started saying how bad he is, and it just snowballed to every dumbass football fan repeating it. Have ya'll even watched a Saints game recently.

We are basically calling him the smartest kid out of a bunch of retards. You know your defense sucks balls when you have the #1 offense in the league and can't make the playoffs.

Our defense has sucked or been average at best. Hopefully they will begin to turn it around this year; however, OLB is a big time impact position. It would be huge to have an ungrade over Shanle. Fugita could get upgraded too; therefor, he is more athletic in my opinion and I would upgrade him second.

All the Shanle hate is racist. If he was black people would think he's pretty solid. There I said it

I'd like to see more of a disruptive force at the OLB position too but the fact is, Dunbar is slower than Shanle. I think he would be even more of a liability than we have there already

if you really watched the Miami game and paid attention to the linebackers Shanle easily made the fewest mistakes (compared to Fujita and Dunbar). Dunbar actually made a ton of mistakes almost all related to getting stuck inside on outside runs, and taking horrible angles. But he is very aggressive and I'd love to see him come in on plays where he rushes the passer - he made a pretty good inside move to record a sack.

I think our best 3 backers are Vilma, Shanle, and Fujita.

But I also think it'll be a big mistake to get rid of Casillas. He's fast and could be very good one day.

I wasn't saying they weren't our 3 best. I think they are definitely upgradeable.

You can't teach athleticism; therefore, I would replace Shanle before Fugita.

I think it would be great to unload one of our DEs for a great WLB.

who has a great WLB they would trade for a decent overpaid DE? The season has already started, trades don't happen anymore unless it's for a marginal player.

I didn't say it was possible.

I was just commenting that it would be nice to have a better WLB than a plethora of DEs.

Well I'm not sure how much of a plethora we have at DE. In my mind a plethora is the NY Giants RB situation last year. They were all good and could all get the job done. Our DE's haven't shown that ability. But yes, we definitely need an upgrade at WLB (and SLB). From where I stand right now with this team, 1st round next year is either an Tackle (they'll let Brown walk after his contract), OLB, or FS (they're so many 1st round FS's in this year's draft it'll be hard to pass on one).
