I don't remember his name, but there's a WR who plays for SD, used to play for the rams

no

when the last placed saints offense used to practice against the last placed saints defense, mora would say how damn good they look and play hard, hit hard, and seem unstoppable. then they go play on sunday and lose 30-7 against another bad team and mora had no answers why

when all the talent you are looking at comparing is bad, then those who stand out from the worst arent necessarily better or worth signing, they are just not as terrible as the others.

all the players in AAF look so bad that just not being terrible makes you a stand out

all that said, it wouldnt hurt to bring in a few as camp bodies and im sure most teams are thinking of them that way

Garrett Gilbert will get a job somewhere as a backup qb. He has looked very good so far and he’s always had the arm talent.

He got thrown into the fire before he was ready and it destroyed his confidence. His first college snap care against Bama in the national championship game when Colt McCoy dislocated his shoulder/collarbone. He never stood a chance.

As a developmental league still in it's infancy it may be too early to pinpoint specific talent but in the long haul it may serve that purpose. If it is propped up by the NFL.
