Gene Atkins deserves some consideration.

Punt Returner - Reggie Bush
assuming the All-Time Saints team doesn't have a salary cap that is
Bush was a threat at PR the whole time he was here. Maybe Sproles will supplant him eventually, but he hasn't done it yet IMO.
ETA - And while I'm at it..
Thomas Morstead for punter. The dude has a cannon leg.

Loved Quinn Early as a Saint. But I'm pretty sure he only had one really good year for us then signed as a free agent somewhere else.

I'm not a Sharper hater by any means, but I really think that Gene should be above him on that list. Yes, we won a SB with him, but Atkins gave us 7 solid years.
Aaron Brooks had a really great year once, if I remember

Just looked up Turner's stat.
Only played 2 full seasons out of 5 he was in NOLA. Best season was 64 catches, 927 yards, and 8 tds.
Quinn's career stats.

Not too shabby, actually. I'd put him in consideration.

For sicboy's "My favorite players, screw da stats" team.
Martin and Horn are definitely 1st team, followed closely by Colston.

The Dome Patrol as a whole was a beast. However, I would have to replace Vaughn Johnson with Vilma at the Mike. I just can't see an all time Saints team without the captain/qb of the defense that brought us the Lombardi. Not to take anything away from Vaughn but I just picked the least known member of the Dome Patrol to be replaced by Vilma.

You have completely lost your mind.
I think people believe everyone on that '09 team is the greatest ever.
ETA Drew and the Dome Patrol are untouchable. Fact.

The only reason the Dome Patrol doesn't have a championship to it's name is Bobby and Carl.

Like I said, not to take anything away from the DP. I loved that defense. I just think that Vilma is a far superior player than VJ was.

Vilma = second string on all saints team.

Posted on 1/27/12 at 10:40 am to sicboy
No kidding. All you have to do is type in Dome Patrol into youtube and just have your mind blown. Those guys were monsters.
Posted on 1/27/12 at 10:43 am to Patrick O Rly
Collectively they were a machine. After the break-up only Sam Mills saw continued success. Rickey had a solid year with the 49'ers but was well on the downfall. Pat was nothing spectacular with the Lions. I don't even know what happened to Vaughn after he left the Saints.
Posted on 1/27/12 at 10:50 am to RamblingTiger
Plus keep in mind, Vilma has been great while always having to pick up the slack for Shanle. The DP members didn't have that problem.
