All Time NFC South Members Best Players Since Each Teams Expansion Season Team

Basic rules and requirements.
1. Any worthy franchise player from a members history can be included even those who never played in the realigned division. This list is more about each franchise's history.
2. Any player listed needs to have played at a high level and made a real contribution to the franchise that is submitting them for this list.
ex. Earl Campbell and Bret Favre are HOF players but do not belong in any all time list for contributions here.
3. You can choose a player based on their peak as a player if that period occured as a member of the franchise submitting them or based on their all time legacy to the division.
4. This is obviously an opinion piece and everyone's list will differ. The differences in some players resume's are minuscule and will ultimately come down to personal preference. My list will probably favor players I have seen play. There have been lots of great players in this division that will never make the HOF or even get talked about anymore. Whether they were great for us or a pain in the arse we can remember and discuss them here. Obvious offseason thread.

You would have to eliminate the NFC West players.

A lil confused. You say South, but have players from the Saints from when they were in the West before realignment. If that's the case how is Montana, Young, Rice, etc. not on the list!

not to mention the Rams and the greatest show on turf years. Faulk etc etc...

OP should keep it to the current alignment to avoid all the arguments.
And those 49ers teams in the 80's would probably own this list.

All Time Saint, Panther, Falcon, Buccaneer Team sounds like a mouthful and 2002-present eliminates some great players from every team's history.
Edit: I fixed it.

i'll throw John Abraham on there

I can agree with you on everyone but John Abraham.
Abraham's years in NY help his overall resume but his ATL years are what he is being judged on here.
He was real good but how different are his ATL years from a Darren Howard or Will Smith or Wayne Martin?
Just like LB there are soo many good ones to choose from you have to leave some off.
I would put him in that next tier.

Abraham has as many sacks in ATL than Rice had in TB. He is the Falcon all time leader in sacks. Abraham only played 1 more season than Rice for their respective eams

You make some excellent points.
