He was implying that scoring more points is more important than yards gained. Pretty sure this is widely accepted.
Saints' fans need to chill and stop looking for shite.

Smith was not talking trash, and he wasn't knocking Brees. He was just making the point that he may not throw for as many yards, but the only point of the game is to outscore the Saints. I would assume the 49'ers plan on trying to do so rather than forfeit.

This is true. The weekly meltdowns on their board last year were epic. I'm just shocked at how defensive they are of him now. Can't believe they trust in him so quickly.
